To help you determine if your device meets the necessary requirements, we offer an easy-to-use application called the Broox Benchmark Tool. This tool is designed to help developers and system integrators validate edge device performance before designing event-driven systems with Broox solutions.

Why Use the Benchmark Tool?

The Broox Benchmark Tool provides a comprehensive analysis of your system's performance, ensuring it is capable of supporting Broox solutions. It helps identify compatibility with various detection presets, enabling you to make informed decisions when selecting or configuring edge devices.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Download and Installation

  • Download the Broox Benchmark Tool for Windows/Linux and save it to a location of your choice.

  • Extract the zip file to any writtable folder (Documents, Downloads or your home folder).

  • Linux: Ensure the file has executable permissions (chmod +x Broox_Benchmark).

2. Running the Tool

Before starting the test, make sure to close all applications and unnecessary processes to ensure that the benchmark tool can evaluate the computer's performance in a clean and clear environment.

  • Windows:

    • Double-click on Broox_Benchmark.exe to launch the tool.
    • Follow the instructions displayed in the console.

  • Linux:

    • Open a terminal and navigate to the folder where the tool is saved.
    • Run the tool using the command: ./Broox_Benchmark
    • Follow the prompts displayed in the terminal.

3. Output Report

  • Once the tool has completed its process, a .txt file will be generated in the same folder as the tool.
  • This report contains detailed specifications and performance metrics of your system.
